Conte Will Stay At Juventus

Italian club Juventus have confirmed that manager Antonio Conte will remain at the club into the next season as well. The future of the 44-year-old has come under intense speculation given that he has not signed a new contract yet. His current contract runs out next summer and due to the demand for quality managers, he has been linked with several big jobs over the last few months. Conte led the club to a third successive league title, which is an impressive feat considering that he also helped them get back from the second division.

MAROTTA BACKS CONTE

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta has come out in praise of coach Antonio Conte after the latter led the club to a third successive league title without even kicking a ball this weekend. Conte was given the job of taking Juventus back to the Italian Serie A when he was appointed as the coach of the team in 2011.

However, none would have imagined that he would have led the club to 3 successive titles apart from getting promoted back into the Italian top division. Juventus are one of the most successful clubs in Europe, but they are relegated after the match fixing scandal a few years ago.

SEEDORF WANTS WIN

AC Milan manager Clarence Seedorf has urged the players to perform exceptionally well and get a win against Chievo during the weekend. The future of Seedorf has already been thrown into doubt just a few months after he took over at the club.

He has been unable to get results and the team have been slipping to the second half of the table under his management. After failing to win for several matches in a row, Milan only recently managed a victory against Fiorentina. This morale boosting win has helped Seedorf get some time.

ANOTHER TROPHYLESS SEASON

It looks like Roma will be finishing yet another season without a trophy to celebrate after they were knocked out of the Coppa Italia 5-3 on aggregate against Napoli. This coupled with their significant points difference between them and title rivals Juventus mean that it will be a disappointing season for the club from the capital.

However, manager Rudi Garcia has widely transformed the club by making them title contenders at a time when they were looking rank outsiders to finish in the top three. He arrived at the club only in the summer and signed a contract until 2015.

Gomez Feeling Like a New Signing

Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez hopes that he will be like a new signing when he makes his long awaited return from injury, but he has called on fans to have a little patience and not to expect too much too soon from him.

Gomez joined Fiorentina from Bayern Munich last summer but has so far made just five appearances for the club.

Unfortunately for Fiorentina and Gomez, he picked up a knee ligament injury against Cagliari back in September and has been absent from the starting line up ever since. Now, however, he claims to be pain free and can’t wait to come back.

Pirlo looking not looking to leave

Andrea Pirlo has made it clear he is hoping to sign a new contract with Juventus despite being linked with a number of European giants in recent weeks. The Italian midfielder is nearing the end of his current deal with Juve, leading some to speculate the 34-year old could be on his way in the summer, with former club AC Milan rumoured to be battling it out with Real Madrid should Pirlo decide to leave Juventus.

The 2006 World Cup winner has been a key part of Juventus’ success this season, proving he is still one of Serie A’s best midfielders by playing an important role in the club sitting nine points clear at the top of the table and heavy favourites with Betfair to win the title for a third straight year.

INTER START BRIGHTLY

Inter Milan started the season in bright fashion and they were even contenders for the title at one stage in the campaign. However, it has all disappeared in the last few months, as they have slipped out of contention even for the top four positions.

This has put intense pressure on manager Walter Mazzarri, who saw his team get beaten 1-0 by Genoa. After the encounter, the former Napoli manager said that his team did not deserve to lose. He is aware that this is a very difficult time for the club, but it will soon pass off.

Balotelli Linked with Milan Exit

AC Milan’s volatile striker, Mario Balotelli, could be heading back to the Premier League with Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger, believed to have met the former Manchester City man’s agent ahead of a potential summer transfer.

The controversial 23-year-old, who is rarely out of the headlines or the live football commentary, has enjoyed a prolific spell with the Rossoneri, scoring 21 goals in just 30 Serie A appearances for a side that has struggled badly this season.

Wenger is prepared to take a risk on Balotelli, who moved from one headline-making incident to another during his spell in Manchester, as he has had to rely on Olivier Giroud too much this season as the attacking options at the Emirates Stadium are extremely limited.

ALLEGRI SUFFERING

Ac.Milan’s season has been so disastrous that even the head coach Massimiliano Allegri acknowledges it and has already stated that it will be his last time in charge of the Italian giants who are at the 13th spot in the Serie A.

"I do not know who will be the new coach, but it is a problem that does not concern me. Of course, this is my last Christmas at AC Milan. I decided to stay on for another season. I liked the idea of staying on and finishing the job, but four years with one club is many." Allegri said after being asked about his future with Ac.Milan

Massimiliano Allegri was brought into the club back in 2010 and he made a huge splash by securing the Scudetto in his debut year in charge of Ac.Milan but from there on out everything has taken a turn for the worse.

PRANDELLI IN DEMAND

Cesare Prandelli has developed a reputation as one of the best Italian coaches in the world right now. He will be an in demand when he eventually leaves his role as the Italian national team manager. He is widely expected to step down from his role after the end of the 2014 World Cup. He has been linked with several clubs in Italy with Juventus very keen in him over the last few months.

Juventus are regarded as one of the top clubs in Italy, while they have won the league in the last two seasons in succession. Their manager Antonio Conte is regarded as one of the best young and upcoming managers.
