FABIO NOT GOING TO AC

Former England manager Fabio Capello has said that he will not be taking over the managerial position at AC Milan next season. Capello has been out of work since his resignation from the England managerial post.

AC Milan were extremely satisfied with manager Massimiliano Allegri last season, but it is learnt that they are extremely unhappy at the way the club did not manage to get past Barcelona in the Champions League, while they also look closer to surrendering the league title to Juventus.

AC Milan currently held leaders Juventus by three points, and failure to lift the Italian Serie A title is likely to culminate in the sacking of the manager.

The 65-year-old Fabio Capello has been linked with a number of jobs of late. There were rumours linking him with Chelsea after the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas, while many have been saying that Inter Milan will be looking at the possibility of signing the former Real Madrid manager as a director of football.

The latest rumour linking Capello with a move back to Italy is the AC Milan job, but the Italian was quick to rule out any rumours linking him with AC Milan by saying that he has not had any contact with the club.

"I've read the stories about me joining Milan, but none of it is true. I haven’t had any contact with them. I have great respect for Milan and for everything I did with them, but that’s it. I was at San Siro to accompany my grandchildren. They are Milan fans and they had never been to San Siro. I want to be a coach for the next two years, but not for a national team. It has to be a club. I would like to work abroad as a coach," Capello stated to Sky Sport.
